Metro Women’s Care offers sensitive and highly accurate urine pregnancy tests administered by a nurse. Pregnancy testing measures your hormone levels in order to indicate pregnancy.
Our free tests are capable of detecting pregnancy as early as 7 days after conception, earlier than many at-home tests. It is important, but not required, that you know the start date of your last period when you visit.
We offer ultrasound exams to confirm the presence of a viable pregnancy and determine how many weeks pregnant you are—all information you’ll need before considering an abortion.
Our ultrasound exam services are provided free of charge and are completely confidential. All exams are performed by nurses trained in limited obstetric ultrasound and are read by a licensed physician. Metro Women’s Care does not use ultrasound exams to determine gender.
Pregnancy Support Services
Our trained and caring staff assist both women and men as you weigh your options for your pregnancy. We can equip you with the information you need to make an informed decision, walking you through an options counseling appointment that empowers you to answer important questions about abortion and allowing you to make an informed decision.
Our “Earn While You Learn” mentoring and education program equips new moms and dads with the skills you will need to welcome a baby. Meet regularly with a staff member to learn important information about healthy pregnancy, parenting, and relationships during and after pregnancy, all while earning supplies and equipment to help provide for your baby.
Support is available in a one-on-one conversation or a small group setting. Healing and restoration after an abortion occur best in the context of a supportive and confidential environment. Please contact Metro Women’s Care to make an appointment or for more information.
Our services are not intended to be a substitute for licensed professional counseling, or for either routine or emergency medical or prenatal care. Individuals who believe they are experiencing a medical emergency should call 9-1-1 and seek care from the nearest emergency room.
